Working with Joe has been an exceptional experience. His knowledge and training provides him the tools and perspective to look at the body as an intricate and connected system rather than merely focusing on isolated injuries or parts, thus a more complete and holistic approach to healing. Through his treatment sessions, I have gained an increased consciousness of my posture and body alignment so that I can make changes to my workouts and prevent perpetuating each issue/injury. His professional candor and caring manner puts you immediately at ease and his thoughtful insight creates an environment and dialogue conducive to healing. I highly recommend Joe, and as I feel and see the results of my progress, I am continually looking forward to each session. ~

After a recent car accident I was referred to Joe by my Naturopathic doctor. I typically don’t look forward to health care appointments. However, Joe’s “bedside manner” and down-to-earth demeanor as well as the improvements I felt helped me to look forward to our sessions. His keen awareness allowed him to work within my comfort level while releasing some deep held tension in my body. I appreciated that Joe was very open to questions about my condition and offered structural and movement advice as well. I am highly impressed that he attends continuing educational seminars most weekends a month. Joe’s passion for his work is obvious in the results he achieves. Thanks to Joe I am now free from pain and actually sleeping better than prior to my accident.

I am a 62 year old lawyer and long-distance mountain trail runner. Thanks to Joe, and his “Structural Medicine” therapy, I have experienced significant improvements in my performance on the trails. I have found Joe to be an especially thoughtful and caring therapist who loves his work. What is impressive is that he seems to have a special ability or 6th sense in identifying problem areas needing improvement, or as Joe calls it “opening up” an area of the body such as the hips that are restricted. As an athlete most of my life, I have experienced about every therapy available such as physical therapy, acupuncture, etc., but the “Structural Medicine” therapy performed by Joe is revolutionary. Thank you Joe!

After years of physical therapy and chiropractic treatment for my chronic back and neck pain, I met Joe and was immediately tuned in to his holistic approach. Joe looks at the human physiology as a complete functioning system rather than a collection of independent parts, and his experience as an athlete shows in his understanding of how the body moves and deals with injury. Since working with Joe I am much more cognizant of my posture and alignment, and am now more aware of the natural movement plains of my body and how to “un-learn” compensation patterns. Most of all, I really appreciate that Joe takes the time to explain each treatment in understandable detail. Doing so allows me to really engage with the treatment and focus on carrying it through to my day to day life.

I am a 43 year old former dancer, and current rock climber, skier, runner and mother to two active boys. Over the years I have experienced a great deal of bodywork for various injuries both chronic and acute with varying degrees of effectiveness. Structural Medicine and its clinically focused, whole body approach is unique in both its methods of assessment and treatment of the issues.

I came to see Joe for an acute shoulder pain flare up. He combined postural analysis with the Myofascial Length Testing - a diagnostic tool unique to Structural Medicine - in order to identify the likely cause of my discomfort. His explanation of the issues combined with effective bodywork left me feeling much better and confident in the longer term benefits of the session.

I would highly recommend Joe to anyone wishing to achieve a higher level of physical functioning.

My lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine problems are 85-90% improved. I’m walking much more normally now and my pain level has been reduced by the same 85-90%. I may need to see Joe from time to time in order to keep me at this level or hopefully even better. It’s great to know I have Joe in my corner.
